Apple Watch Ultra 3

Apple Watch Series 11

The latest version of the Series Apple Watch will have improved glass, with twice the scratch resistance. Cellular versions will now support 5G, with an increase in battery life from 18 hours to 24, for a 30% increase.

The big addition though is the inclusion of hypertension monitoring. This doesn’t include any new sensors, but uses machine learning to analyse the flow of blood to understand if hypertension (high blood pressure) is present. This will also be supported in the previous models of Apple Watch (Series 10 and Ultra 2)

Apple Watch SE 3

The latest version of the SE gets some welcome upgrades found on previous models including faster charging, speaker playback (for when you don’t have headphones), and 5G support for the cellular model.

Apple Watch Ultra 3

The new Ultra 3 (and the model I’ve been waiting for since the Ultra 2 was such a small upgrade) gets a number of upgrades in this line up. The display is finally the largest again, after being shamed by the Series 10 last year and gets better viewing angles than before to improve glanceability. It also gets a new watch face for that big beautiful display: Waypoint (see image).

Internal improvements include 5G connectivity, with all Ultra watches having cellular connections. Speaking of connectivity, you will be able to send messages and your location via satellite. Let’s just think about that for a moment. Any where in the world, from a tiny device on your wrist, you can let someone know where you are and how you’re doing as long as you have line of sight to the sky.

Battery life has also been improved from 36 to 42 hours, and it’s all enclosed in a 3D printed titanium case. 3D printed! No longer is this a machined case. It boggles the mind what Apple metallurgists are able to come up with.
